Stanford Tour 2018 Day 5 Group 6
# scavenger hunt
14th July,2018
It’s Saturday here in Stanford. We started off with class with Dr. Newby, introducing us to an interesting way of storytelling through music and songs to deliver messages or stories to the listeners. In the afternoon, we had campus activities and went shopping in the nearby mall, where we could learn more about the daily lives of the people living here.
During the class with Dr. Newby, we learnt how to use music to tell stories and create a playlist which can convey the message of the story. In this activity, we explored songs of different languages and different genres, mixed them together and created an interesting story. Everyone had fun and enjoyed music in a way in which we had never encountered before.
In the afternoon, we had a thrilling game of scavenger hunt. This challenging activity required navigation skills and we need to step out of our comfort zones as we have to approach strangers - such as proposing to them! We also had to accomplish tough missions like making a human pyramid in front of the hoover tower, finding some unknown places and it is a great opportunity for us to discover the campus in a unique way.
After the scavenger hunt, we went to the stanford shopping centre where we spent hours exploring everything. Everybody had full bags of clothes, chocolates and souvenirs. After days of lectures, we finally had the chance to enjoy another side of Stanford life.
