Stanford Tour 2018 Day 3 Group 4
leadership class!
12th July 2018
It was a busy, yet fruitful second day of the Stanford trip, we experienced a series of intra and interpersonal relationship exercises for leadership. We were astonished by the effects of visualisation and differentiation between reality and feelings, as we were able to obtain serenity as well as useful ideas from our future self. The following sharing sessions helped us realize the power of one’s voice, together with the strong impacts of our actions.
In the afternoon, we had a fantastic discussion about cancer genomics. The "tumour map" really facilitated us to understand more about the distribution of various cancers according to age and gender. The Global Solutions project meeting took place right afterwards, where we explored the major issues of our assigned islands. The meeting connected different cultures together, especially when we were able communicate and voice out our ideas with participants from different countries freely. Our multiple perspective thinking skills were also trained during the session. Last but definitely not the least, the preparation for the Multicultural exhibition helped us build up our solidarity and also realised the areas of improvements for our booth the next day. We are looking forward to it!
A fun-filled and prosperous experience indeed.
