Stanford Day 2 Group 5
After breakfast, we attended our session with Chloe Good. Chloe is just a ray of sunshine brightening up everyone’s day. The lecture was called ‘Being a Leader’. We explored the traits of leaders and mind tricks that can help us practice and foster our leadership skills. The session was very thought-provoking and inspirational. We were compelled to have meaningful conversations that we don’t normally have with our friends. Then we headed to the dining hall for lunch.
We then proceeded to go to our next class about Cancer Genomics in which the instructor told us more about how and why cancer cells develop. We also dealt with some global data on the different types of cancers and the similarities and differences between them. It was a very informative session. The instructor simplified and broke down the topic for us so that we could have a better understanding of it.
After that, we had our second Global Solutions Project Meeting in our groups. We all made progress and worked on the project collectively which was followed by dinner. Then we worked on preparing for our Multicultural Exhibition - which is tomorrow!
After rehearsing and receiving feedback for the exhibition and admiring the cotton candy clouds.
We ended the day with a reflection and a house meeting, hoping that tomorrow will be as great of a day as today, if not better.
